OK I am starting to understand things about Menuetos.

I have no physical floppy disk on my AMD-64 machine!

Therefore when I saw the anouncement:

CD available for download!

I thaught great take that and try it.

OK downloaded iso image, burned to CD and tried to boot it!

As that didn't work I looked at the contents of the CD (and the contents of .gz files on the CD).
There was quite a bit on BIOS, DOS and Booting but all in C (or C++).

I take it that this is the Virtual 8086 VM for a "Dos Box"?

With your feed back I have downloaded VirtualFD and now at least I can look at the content of the MenuetOS floppy image.

I have tried booting the MenuetOS floppy image in bochs but it loops rebooting after a double or tripple fault!

Why wasn't the contents of the floppy (and the image for that matter) included in the downloadable CD?

It would help me (and I am sure others is the same situation - no physical floppy) if the downloadable CD contained the OS and could be booted (after burning it)

Thanks for your feedback that at least pointed me in the correct direction.

Regards
Dave
